The widow of slain Shift Lieutenant Barnes gives Sam and Twitch a key to a locker in Grand Central Station that she says holds evidence and information about Udaku. But when Sam and Twitch approach the locker, they find out that it was a trap set up by their fellow police officers to ambush them. The Sangiacomo family Mafia leader, who blames the crooked cops for the deaths in their family, interrupts the ambush. In the ensuing melee, Sam and Twitch escape and grab Keller the dirty cops' leader, and threaten him into revealing who is behind the string of Mafia and cop killings. He, too, says it's Udaku.
