Archbishop Ireneaux impresses Julien into the service of the Holy Inquisition. He tells Julien that the scroll stolen from Father Marin in Issue 0 conceals the secret location of the lost treasure of the Jewish Temple.
Julien later meets Father Eugene Calvet, the mysterious friend of Father Marin’s who gave Julien the note pointing to The Shepherds of Arcadia in Issue 2. Calvet tells Julien of a secret papal commission tasked with finding the Holy Grail – Marin and Calvet were both members.
Genevieve has a physical altercation with Lorraine's daughter, Isabelle. She also learns the duke has “big plans” for her.
Finally, and almost by accident, Julien discovers the stolen scroll in a deMedici bank vault, but the decoded contents of are just another mystery...
