Senator Halloran is taking the next big step in his political career, running for President. Leaving the hospital with his lovely wife, and newborn son, the Senator is forced to defend himself against allegations by the press of being homosexual. Peter Draven comes home after a long business trip expecting some rest and relaxation; instead, he finds his boyfriend has been murdered. Before reality can sink in, Peter must defend himself against the killer, who was waiting for him. Peter manages to escape, but not before realizing the connection between his old friend, Sean Halloran, and his would be assassin. In desperation, Peter runs to the only person from his past that could help him -- Detective Sam Burke.
