In the last chapters of "Julio's Day," Julio Juan settles into maturity and Aricela leaves for another mercy mission while old Julio's life reaches its twilight, inspiring him to reflect on the regrets and pleasures of the past as his 100th birthday approaches. We wouldn't be surprised if he met Fritz and had sex with her! (Just kidding.) Gilbert's "Emanon" is a silent, violent, oddly touching monster story. In Jaime's "Male Torso Found in L.A. River," Ray gets further drawn into Vivian's sordid, dangerous world (and Angel gets a taste of it as well) as one scumbag meets his fate at the wake of another scumbag. Later, Ray gets to watch while Viv and Angel skinny-dip and wrestle!
